Conformation Prep

Choosing your patron saint for confirmation can seem a little overwhelming with countless saints to choose from. But, it’s a very important decision because this is going to be one of your key helpers in life. After all, they conquered sin and made it to heaven.  Now they can intercede for you….in a very powerful way.  So….how should you narrow it down to pick THE ONE.  

Here is a great way to do it:

Step 1:  Make a list of at least (5) or more things about yourself that are important to you:  things you’re good at, things you care about, careers you might want when you grow up etc.  For example:  Do you like Animals?  Do you like to travel?  Do you like academics?  Do you like engineering?  Music?  Sports?  Medicine?  Do you see yourself as a first responder? A lawyer?  A home maker?  A chef?  A world leader?  A Priest or a nun?  Etc etc etc…

Write it all down in order of greatest importance to the least.  

Step 2:  Look up the patron saints of the items on your list.

Step 3: Choose the Saint that you have the most in common with OR that you think will inspire you the most in the universal call to holiness.

Tah-dah!  You have your Patron Saint and NOW doing the report will be much more interesting to you therefore much easier since you can relate to them so much.
